Curved Sofa
A curved sofa is not something that gets used very often in
most houses. They are not common and so need to have their own space to look good and be appreciated. For example
in your den where you have finished setting up your fifty two inch plasma television set with surround system, and
there is an open corner where with enough space to set two loveseats but they will look strange side by side. You
can soften the angle of the corner by using a curved sofa. The small space that will be left between the sofa and
the wall can be filled with a triangular table that stands a bit below the sofa’s top edge. A vase full of roses
can be set on the table to complement your curved sofa.
Curved sofas are space savers; they can be used in small living
rooms to take advantage of space you would lose with regular rectangular furniture. Curved sofas also take the edge
out of squared and rectangular rooms because they change the moods and angles in a room softening them much in the
same way that a corner shelve or table does. It is very hard to build curved walls so people came up with
curved tables and furniture to change and adapt to the flows of energy that get interrupted every time they hit a
corner.
Another fantastic use for a curved sofa is in a sitting room
that has a fire place in it. People often feel warmer and more comfortable sitting in front of a fire when they are
all facing each other or the fire instead of sitting in different angles. The waiting room at a doctor’s office
could also do away with squared furniture, it should be curved. People relax on curved seats; they feel
uncomfortable waiting for a doctor on a rectangular sofa which is not angled in the direction they want to be
looking.
People who go to restaurants with booths where the chairs are
circular enjoy themselves more than people sitting on squared booths. Curved booths do not have a head on the
table; everybody is equal and the same. The concept supposedly applied by King Richard the Lion hearted at Lancelot
with his round table applies to people sitting in round sofas compared with rectangular ones. If you sit to discuss
business with someone on a round table, the discussion is more relaxed than on a rectangular table. The head of the
table is supposed to be palace of power, of leadership and many people subconsciously rebel against
that.
Curbed sofas were widely used in the fifties and sixties, the
time of peace and love among people. They are now back to stay and they come with great and renewed strength and
designs that everybody can enjoy.
